Job Path and Career Path Training Services

The training services of Uusimaa TE Office have been updated!

You will receive both group and individual support for your job search process. Supported by your coach, the goal is for you to find and start work, training, work experience, entrepreneurship or take part in other services.

The Job Path training service begins with a 5-day job search training, which will provide you with the prerequisites to start your job search. After the job search training, the coaching service will continue for the next three calendar months.

The Career Path training service starts with a 15-day career training. The training course will provide you with the prerequisites to start your job search, and offers lots of information on the job market, training and future opportunities. After the career training, the coaching service will continue for the next three calendar months.

Familiarise yourself with the service providers' brochures and other materials below. The service providers can give you more information about their services. You can choose a suitable service provider and training location for yourself.

The service provider will make necessary arrangements with you to make either work or other solutions possible within three months. Following the training courses, the service providers have different models of how the coaching service will be implemented.

You can apply for the service using the form below. The form will be processed by a TE services expert who will review your situation and your service needs, and together with you, make updates to your job seekers plan if necessary. Participation in the coaching service is recommended for anyone who has not previously participated in job search training or career coaching. If the TE Office allocates you a place in a service, you will be contacted by telephone by the service provider you have chosen.

When you accept a place in a service, you are committed to participating in it, as instructed by the TE Office and the service provider, until the service ends, you start work or find an alternative solution.

  • During the initial job search or career training you are taking part in a work enabling service. The TE Office will make a declaration about your participation to the payer of your unemployment benefit.
  • The initial training courses are made up of 6 x 45 minutes sessions per day and include both group and individual coaching.
  • Services are available in Finnish, Swedish and English.

After the initial job search and career training, you will move onto the extended coaching service period (approx. 3 months) during which your status will be an unemployed job seeker. During this time, you will not be paid for your expenses and your unemployment benefit will be unaffected. If during this time you participate in activities organised by the service provider, you can report your participation to the payer of your unemployment benefit and the payer will consider whether the activity fulfils the activation model requirement.
