European Globalisation Adjustment Fund

The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for displaced workers assists those who have become unemployed due to globalisation to find employment and obtain new skills.

Currently, there is one EGF project under way in Finland. Finnair EGF project helps those who have been made redundent from Finnair to find new employment and opportunities. 

The fund helps to promote employment by offering jobseekers assistance for job-search, training and entrepreneurship. EGF support enables the targeted service quickly and efficiently.

EGF supported services include

• a variety of guidance services
• services for job-search and vocational orientation
• tailor-made training
• promotion of entrepreneurship
• Start-up grant
• pay subsidy
• reimbursements for job interview travel expenses
